A public page for your community
A page without sign-in that shows whether your server is running, how many are playing and how to join, plus a badge for your website, forum or Discord. It is off until you turn it on.
You set up the public page in your game server's Network tab, in the Public page card. Its address is /s/ and a name you choose.
Turning it on
Under Name in the address choose a name: 3 to 32 characters, lower-case letters, digits and single hyphens. One based on the server's name is suggested.
Choose what the page shows (see below) and write a short description if you like.
Use Switch the public page on. View preview shows it beforehand as others will see it.
What the page shows
Always: name, state, player count and the address to join, with short instructions for the game. On top of that you choose:
- Description: plain text, up to 500 characters.
- Version and software.
- Plugins, mods and modpack (for Minecraft, Rust and Valheim), with links to the source.
- Next wipe (for Rust).
- Online time over the last 7 days, measured once a minute.
- Discord invite: a link of the form
discord.gg/…. - Names of the players online now: off until you turn it on, because the names belong to the players.
Search engines
With Show in search engines the page may appear in search results. Without it, it stays out; anyone with the address still sees it.
The badge
Under Badge to embed you copy a piece of HTML or Markdown for your website, a forum or a README. The badge shows the name, state and players and refreshes every minute, in dark or light.
Good to know
- You can change the name in the address at most once in 24 hours; the old link stops working.
- You can switch it off at any time; the page then cannot be found by anyone else.
- There are no custom domains, images or colours for the page. There is no public page for a VPS.
- Whoever may set up the server (the Setup right) may change it.
