Players: whitelist, operators, bans
In the Players tab you see who is on your game server and manage the whitelist, operators and bans without typing commands. Plus player statistics: when your server is busy.
The Players tab exists for Minecraft, Rust, ARK, Valheim, Palworld and DayZ; Terraria has its own players tab. People you share the server with need the right to manage the game.
Minecraft
The list shows everyone who has ever been on the server, with online or their last visit. The filters show only Operators, the Whitelist or who is Banned. Clicking a player shows health, hunger, level, playtime and position, plus their Inventory and Ender Chest, as the server last saved them.
Press Add player and enter the Minecraft name, also of someone who has never been there.
Choose Add to whitelist or Make operator.
In the player's card you switch Operator and Whitelist, change the Game mode, kick them from the server or ban them with a reason they see. Lift ban takes a ban back.
The Whitelist switch at the top lets in only players on the whitelist and operators. While the server runs, every change takes effect at once through its console; while it is off, the portal writes the files and it applies from the next start. Kicking and changing the game mode only work while it runs.
Lock down
Lock down kicks everyone who is online and turns the whitelist on, confirmed by holding. Afterwards only players on the whitelist and operators get in, for example against griefers. Whitelist off again opens the server again. Lock down only works while the server runs.
Other games
- Rust: who is online, with playtime; kick and ban with a reason, Message to everyone in chat, Save world and the list of banned players with Unban. All while the server runs.
- ARK: who is online, kick, ban, a Broadcast on every player's screen and Save now. You lift a ban with the Steam profile link or Steam ID. ARK accepts commands only a few minutes after it starts.
- Valheim: three lists by Steam profile link or Steam ID: Permitted, Admin and Banned. Once someone is on Permitted, only permitted players get in. Changes apply at the latest after the next restart.
- Palworld: players with level and ping, kick, ban, unban, Message to everyone and Save world. Plus Restart or stop with a warning: the game is warned, the world saved, then restarted or stopped. Best through Palworld's REST API (under World); without it, it goes through the console, and messages arrive without spaces and umlauts.
- DayZ: through BattlEye RCon. For this the server gets two ports of its own and an RCon password, set up by the portal at the latest when the owner first opens the tab; it applies from the next start. Then: kick, ban for an hour, a day, seven days or permanently, Message to everyone and the Bans with Lift.
- Terraria: kick, ban, messages and the ban list; with TShock through its interface, otherwise through the console. On Vanilla a ban applies to the address.
Player statistics
The Player statistics tab shows for a period how many players came, how many of them were new, playtime, sessions and the peak, an overview by weekday and hour and who played most. The portal asks for the player count every minute; the per-player figures come from the server's log, up to 90 days back. If it cannot read the log, for example because a mod changes its format, there is only the player count.
A ban in the portal is the same as in the game: it is in the server's files and stays after a restart. Every change is in the server's Activity.
