Console: commands, log and power
Follow your game server's log live, send commands, start and stop the server, and share a log with others.
The Console tab shows your server's log live. Below it you send commands, on the right you control the server.
Start, stop, restart
- Start
- Starts the server.
- Restart
- Stops the server normally and starts it again.
- Stop
- Stops the server normally; the game saves first.
- Power off
- Hard and immediate, without saving. Only for a server that no longer responds. Hold to power off.
The same buttons are on the server's overview.
Sending commands
Type the command in the line under the log and press Enter. ↑ and ↓ bring back your last commands (up to 50, while the page is open). For Minecraft, Tab completes commands and player names from the log.
Above the log you search the text, show only warnings and errors, copy the log, download it or clear the view. The browser keeps the last 1,200 lines.
Sharing a log
For a question in a forum or to us: Share log creates a link anyone who has it can read. The portal removes IP addresses, passwords and access keys first; player names stay. After 90 days the link is gone.
All shared logs of a server are in the Activity tab under Shared logs. There you can also delete a link earlier; the log on the server is not affected.
Good to know
- There is no SSH console for game servers; for files there is SFTP.
- Schedules send commands at set times, automations react to lines in the log.
- People you share the server with need the Console right for the console and the Power right for the buttons. A typed command like
stopstill stops the game without Power, though.

- Schedules: restarts, backups and commands at set timesYour game server handles recurring work by itself: restart daily, back up at night, save regularly. With templates, fixed times, intervals or cron.
- Automations: the server reacts by itselfWhen something happens on the server, such as a crash, a line in the log or a player joining, an automation runs steps: a command, a restart, a backup, a message to you or a webhook.
- Share a server: sharing with permissionsInvite players, moderators or admins by email and decide exactly what each person may do. Invoices, passwords and sharing stay with you.
