Install and manage WordPress
WordPress on your website in one click, with automatic updates if you want them and a new admin password should you forget yours.
WordPress is in your website's WordPress tab. It needs PHP; if your website is static, the tab is not there.
Installing
Enter the website's name and choose the language.
Choose whether automatic updates are on: on, WordPress, plugins and themes keep themselves up to date; off, only security and minor updates of WordPress itself.
Press Install WordPress. This takes about a minute.
Note down the login that appears afterwards: the admin password is shown only this once.
If there are already files in the website's folder, the portal asks first: the files go to the recycle bin (restorable for 7 days), with a backup of the website beforehand if you like.
Afterwards
- To the WordPress login opens your WordPress sign-in.
- Switch automatic updates on or off at any time.
- Set a new admin password: random or your own with at least 8 characters, should you have forgotten yours.
- Under further actions you reinstall WordPress or remove it.
