Health: what is wrong with your server
One page per server that gathers what is wrong right now, how much it matters and how to fix it, often with one button.
Under Health (in every server's side navigation, right below Overview) you see what is wrong with this server right now. The most urgent comes first: Urgent (the server is not running or is about to be full), Attention (something to look at) and Note (nothing pressing). Each point says what it means, with the way to fix it below.
What is checked
- Location: whether the machine the server runs on answers.
- Crashes: a server that stayed off after a crash, repeated crashes in the last 24 hours, and whether restart after a crash is on.
- Minecraft: the EULA, a newer version of the server software, and in the log a port in use, too little memory, a wrong Java version or errors in the world.
- Disk space from 90 % in use, and a restart still pending (more memory, changed resources).
- Backups: all slots in use, the last one failed, a missed automatic backup, a failed check, none at all yet.
- Plugins (Minecraft, Rust): errors at the last start and updates available.
- Your monitoring: checks that do not answer and load alerts; on a VPS also whether its firewall blocks the port being checked.
- Addresses and server names, a VPS's firewall and setup, the rescue system and the security lock.
- For the owner: an open invoice and a cancelled contract ending soon.
When no check finds anything, it says All good, with the list of what was checked and when.
Fixing with one button
Where there is a fix the customer area carries out itself, it is a button: Start now, Restart now, Accept the EULA and start, Turn on restart after a crash, Update the version (with backup), Open the port in the firewall (on a VPS, for exactly the port of your check) and Free a backup slot. The last one deletes the oldest backup that is not locked; you hold it down, and below it says which one. Afterwards we check the server again. Other points take you by link to the place where you fix them.
How current
Opening the page checks again when the last check is older than three minutes; Check now checks at once. In the background we check running servers about every 30 minutes. The server's overview has a line with the result, and your dashboard says how many servers need attention.
Shares and team
Someone using a server through a share or your team sees only the points and buttons their rights allow: backups only with the backups right, deleting a backup only with the right to restore backups, invoice and contract only the owner.
